1 Mother 2 Another

Last night I was lying in bed with Cora
and talking about nothing in particular when our conversation
turned towards spring. “What is it right now, Mommy?”
she asked, and I said, “Why, it’s spring now!
It’s spring already!”


“Really? It’s spring NOW?” she said.

“Yep, it sure is. And that means
there’ll be lots of eating lunches out at our picnic table in
the back yard, and lots of snuggling on a blanket under a tree
reading books, and lots of time at the duck pond feeding the ducks
and fishing; and don’t forget all the time we’ll spend
gardening!”


Cora wriggled happily closer to me. “It sounds like we are
going to have a really busy schedule!” I nodded agreement.


She sighed happily. “I can’t wait.”
