For those of you who can’t wait
until tomorrow night’s American Idol to catch a glimpse of
all the starlets of tomorrow belting their hearts out, I give you
– Madeleine.

I’ve finally gotten around to
dumping some video from my camera and have a couple of gems I
simply have to share. The first one is a classic rendition of
Madeleine’s famous “ABC Song”, made even more
stunning by her bold choice to accompany herself on drums (much
more successfully, I think, than that poor boy on American Idol
last week). And I think Maddie’s daring performance wear of
footie pajamas really adds to the all-around cutting-edge feel of
the piece.


As for the second clip, Maddie’s discovered that
Gamma’s four-poster bed has four built-in microphones, and
any time you see her climbing up on that big bed and making her way
over to a post you know there’s a concert in the works.
Madeleine serenaded us for quite a while that night, but we only
caught “Angels We Have Heard On High” on video. Yes,
it’s no longer Christmas, but my kid just loves singing all
the “Gloria”s that comprise the chorus.
