1 Mother 2 Another

We took Madeleine for her 8-week visit a few days ago, and all the shots that go with it.  I can’t believe the pediatrician’s office doesn’t have a shot of whiskey on hand for such an occasion, but that’s another story.  I had the doctor look at this red patch on Maddie’s hiney, and she said, “Oh, that’s not too bad a case of diaper rash.”  Huh.  So that’s what it looks like!

I thought, at last, a reason to use the Desitin we got for our shower!  So we tried it, but it has a distinct odor and looks like the stuff lifeguards use on their noses.  We then cracked open a gift-pack of California Baby products and tried their diaper creme, and I gotta say, I’m hooked.  It smells like lavender and  works really well.  A bit pricier than the Desitin, but completely worth it for our money.  I’ve been pushing it on all my girlfriends.  And Maddie's hiney?  Uniformly pink and healthy, thanks.
